Following an overwhelmingly positive response to my £500 Jaguar XJ, many of which urged me to save it, join my for a (rather late) update on the car.

The good news: it passed its MOT, is roadworthy and for the last few months has been a reliable workhorse. The bad news: in the last 24 hours, this Jaguar XJ has thrown a spanner in the works with some surprise faults and there's still plenty more to do.

I also explain why it's taken me so long to get this video out as a new Jaguar has joined the ranks taking up time, money, and space but all for good reason.
