After 21 months, Blizzard finally acknowledged the whole 6V6 discussion in the community.
This discussion has been going on even before the release of Overwatch 2. The Overwatch community was unhappy for many reasons.
The game dropping one tank out of every team was the final drop for some people. Even before, most of us got to play it.
Over the last, well, almost two years, that discussion has only intensified. It has slowly grown into a mythical thing that promises a fixed Overwatch.
After avoiding the topic for almost 21 months, Aaron Keller, the game director for Overwatch, tweeted that they know the discussion and that it is also important to them. And that they'll be addressing it in a developer blog soon.
Are we going back to 6v6? let's have a look.
Update: I removed the rein/sigma double shield part. I initially didn't add Orisa because she no longer has a shield. That doesn't mean a double shield can not be annoying. But that one line, meant to illustrate what some people fear, was becoming a diversion. It also proved my point.
