5 weeks post op and I feel like a new woman! But there is a BUT. I am not completely out of pain and discomfort. Despite my gut symptoms being DRAMATICALLY better I am still struggling with my stomach. It feels like phase one is complete (stoma surgery) and now I have to move onto phase two (improving my stomach gastroparesis).

Unfortunately for many, surgery is not the last piece of the puzzle , it is just a significant part of it.
