Could it be that the Westman Islands in south Iceland is one of the country's bestkept secrets? While some travelers go there each year, this group of islands doesn't get anywhere near the amount of attention that other attractions along the south coast get. I absolutely love taking the 4550 minute ferry over to Heimaey, the main island because of the views and lovely ride.
