Focal Therapy is a treatment for prostate cancer where you try to burn only the area of cancer in the prostate but keep the rest of the gland untouched.

In theory this is the optimal treatment but the clinical data is not as perfect as one might expect. Here we review all the clinical data supporting the use of focal therapy, the types of focal therapy including HIFU, FLA, TULSA, IRE, PDT and cryotherapy.
