The port of Ponza has been an important site during the history and was built at the behest of King Ferdinand IV. The construction was entrusted to Antonio Winspear, a military and engineer in the service of the kingdom of the two Sicilies.
Today it is the epicenter of island life, a combination of services, entertainment, traditions and elegance. An amphitheater of pastelcolored houses made even more suggestive by the typical boats which stop in the waters of the ancient port.
The island of Ponza has a big range of services, it is full of restaurants that focus their offer on using only fresh local fish. There are beach parties and aperitifs at sunset.
