At least 12 people, mostly children, were killed in a rocket strike on a football pitch in Majdal Shams, Golan Heights. Israel and the US have blamed Hezbollah, but the Lebanese militant group strongly denies any involvement. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said Hezbollah would "pay a heavy price", but US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he didn't want to see the conflict escalate. Hezbollah is on high alert after the attack. Meanwhile, Iran has warned Israel not to play with fire.
