For this weeks video, I decided I need to take a break from the talking and just relax while turning this beautiful piece of spalted maple. This chunk of log was from the log that I used my chainsaw mill on for the first time so it has been sitting for quite a while which is why I finally took the time to turn it before it was just too far gone. To be honest, this piece was a little more tricky to turn than what the video may seem as some of the wood was a little more punky and soft for what I would normally like so that took some effort to get right but overall I am glad I took the time as this was just too beautiful of a piece of wood to waste.
