Darwin, the 7yearold, Bichon Frise, presented to SEVN after falling off the bed and experiencing back pain. After examination, SEVN performed an MRI which revealed a disc herniation, or IVDD, and he was immediately taken into spinal surgery.

IVDD can be described as a slipped disc, ruptured disc, herniated disc, or bulging disc, depending on the type of damage that occurs. If a disc swells or ruptures, it may strike or compress the spinal cord, affecting a pet’s ability to walk.

Thanks to the swift action and expertise of the SEVN team, Darwin bounced back remarkably fast postsurgery. Now, he's happily swimming and running with his beloved family again.
