Jane was the third wife to Henry VIII after Anne Boleyn. She was courting Henry 8th all while Henry VIII was still married to Anne Boleyn. When it was realized Anne was a disappointment to Henry, he picked Jane Seymour to be his next wife and they married one day after Anne Boleyn's execution.

Jane Seymour was known as being the wife that gave Henry his son that he desperately wanted. Their son became the next King Edward VI.

As such, she remained in Henry's heart after she died from postpartum complications shortly after Edward's birth.

She was described as being plain, passive, and meek the opposite of her predecessor Anne Boleyn.
