This is me, Zale, test firing my new Tokarev pistol, caliber 7.62x.25. This is the military and police issue pistol of the Eastern block. It resembles the classic Colt 1911 and was manufactured for decades in Russia, Romania, and China for issue to the military and police forces. Many used or surplus pistols are available but this is a new one was made in China by Norinco. It fires a rimless necked down cartridge with an 85 grain bullet, giving it a muzzle velocity of 1406 ft./second. That's a hot load. It packs far more punch than the .45 ACP, roughly the same as the 357 magnum for muzzle energy.
