Here is a video demonstrating many ride cymbals, most all of which can be used in a Jazz setting. While some of these are hard core jazz models others are more suited for all round playing. I play some time with each cymbal and then play them with mallets, brushes and three separate types of sticks including a wood tipped 5A, a nylon tipped 5A and the stick that Vic Firth makes me which has a rounded tip. A weight in grams is given for each cymbal although there is a bit of discrepancy between what I say in the video and the exact weight. The electronic scale I was using was not calibrated correctly. I got a better scale, thus the difference in the video description and what I say in the video.
