This is a highly anticipated model so get yours before they go. I highly recommend this model because it is such an awesome model and they will sell out very quick.

Aircraft name: Mataatua. In Maori tradition, Mātaatua was one of the great voyaging canoes by which Polynesians migrated to New Zealand and the Mataatua Waka was the first to land in Whakatane, in the Bay Of Plenty, about 700 years ago. Later they left and they arrived in Takou Bay in the Bay Of Islands in Northland where this was the Mataatua’s final resting place. During the introduction of Air NZ’s new livery in 1996 with the distinctive “Pacific Wave”, the name changed from Mataatua to Bay Of Islands.
Livery: In 1994, Cathay Pacific decided to replace the Green and White or “Retro” livery as it’s now known as, within the next 4 years. The “Retro” featured the Union Flag as it was a British Colony, but they were removed in the early 90’s. 1998 was when the Brushwing livery was first introduced as the replacement.
