The LenoirRhyne University Bachelor of Music in Music Education program has provided Jeffrey Sarmiento, a transfer student and firstgeneration student, with the opportunity to pursue his calling in music with the support of both classmates and professors.

The program has provided him with practical experience through conducting student ensembles as well as mentorship from music educators, some with over thirty years of teaching experience.
