Jenesca: [00:00:01] I always kind of knew I wanted to do something greater in life. I just didn't know what to call it and how to voice it. Coming to SLU during that visit, I saw phrases like being men and women fawn with others the greater good. I was like, Dad, I think Saint Louis is the place.

David: [00:00:14] SLU is a Jesuit school, but we don't have to be Catholic or Christian to be here. Everyone has something to offer and everyone has a place here. There's a worldview. At a Jesuit university, we take all that we've learned here and put it in service to the world.

Alexa: [00:00:29] The really big thing that draws me to SLU is the Jesuit mission of treating a person as a whole person, and I wanted that to be a part of how I was learning.

David: [00:00:37] The education of the whole person. Our experience beyond the classroom is equally as important. So, it's an education for mind, body, and spirit.

Clare: [00:00:44] It's not in a way that they're forcing the religious aspect on you. It's more of just caring for people supporting every part of you during this time here at SLU.

Tristin: [00:00:55] I went to a public high school, so I wasn't really sure how Jesuitbased education would be different. But one of the biggest differences I've noticed is the service learning components.

Patrick: [00:01:03] Something that's been very important to me throughout my entire life has been my faith. The Jesuit values kind of mirror my own personal core values as well. Men and women for others is a very important aspect of the Jesuit values. That amount of opportunities to provide service was boundless.

Lydia: [00:01:17] I'm not Catholic, but almost every school I ended up falling in love with along the search ended up being a Jesuit school. Because of that service aspect, SLU puts itself into the community.

Jenesca: [00:01:28] Social justice has been a big part of my identity and Jesuits are very socially aware.

Tristin: [00:01:33] Making sure our students are informed on what's going on in the world and how that can directly relate to our field.

Jahmal: [00:01:38] I'm an international business student. We're just talking about how companies can be socially responsible and a major about making money. We're still focusing on trying to make it a better place.

David: [00:01:49] Whatever your interests, whatever your talents as part of that grandeur of God, and to bring that to SLU to discover it and your friends, your professors, the Jesuit community, it's an opportunity to be excited about what you're doing and where it's taking you.
