When jetBlue launched almost 25 years ago, they took the industry by storm with their upscale budget airline model, offering economy flyers comfy cabins & individual seatback screens for competitive prices. They didn't touch the premium market until 2014, but when they did, they went all in. jetBlue Mint was an instant hit, and it was priced to take market share from American, Delta and United on their most prized premium routes. 9 years later, and the product still gets rave reviews from business travelers and vacationers alike. So when I found a sub$1,000 fare from New York to Seattle, I had to check it out (for the first time!!).
