Here’s an appearance of Jim Henson and Frank Oz, with a conversation of Russell Harty along with appearances from their Muppet creations Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, and Statler and Waldorf on the Russell Harty Show broadcasted on the ITV network on September 22, 1977. For decades this appearance of the Muppets creators as well as the Muppets themselves on the talk show was completely lost and would never surface online.

It wouldn’t be until on October 9, 2014, YouTuber VHS Video Vault uploaded a clip of the appearances in a Russell Harty Tribute compilation and the appearances would later be reuploaded with just the Muppets appearances on October 2, 2022 by YouTuber Jimmy Greenfield. No other material would surface until recently that a stock footage site called Lola Clips uploaded the full appearances of the Muppet creators and the Muppets cast as well as an appearance of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sheila Hocken. Sadly they don’t meet the Muppet creators or the Muppets themselves so no Arnold Schwarzenegger Muppets crossover unfortunately. But anyway after over 46 years, the appearances of Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, and Statler appearances on the Russell Harty Show from September 22, 1977, has finally been found. Enjoy this extremely rare piece of Jim Henson, Frank Oz, and Muppets history.
