Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said in the House that he “no longer wants to live for long in the current environment”. Kharge was complaining to the Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar about “being hurt” by the statement made in the House by BJP MP Ghanshyam Tiwari on July 30. Tiwari, while pointing out that Mallikarjun was another name of Lord Shiva, had alleged that Kharge had tried to establish his entire family in politics. Kharge took offence to being referred to as a political dynast and wanted Tiwari’s remarks to be expunged.
