Jodie Comer said she "learned the hard way" after she wanted to make her onscreen smoking look so real that she took up the habit at home.

The 30yearold actress's career is going from strength to strength. Fellow Liverpoolborn acting royalty Stephen Graham predicted Jodie would "rapidly become one of the finest actors we've ever had" back in 2021, and it seems he was right.

In recent movie The Bikeriders, Jodie plays Kathy who is married to biker Benny played by Austin Butler. Speaking to Vanity Fair about the role, the star said she wanted to make Kathy's smoking look as believable as possible, though said she will "never again" smoke at home.
