John Cunningham - the fighter pilot with Cats Eyes
John 'Cat's Eyes' Cunningham CBE, DSO & Two Bars, DFC & Bar, AE was a Royal Air Force night fighter ace during the Second World War, and subsequently became a test pilot for de Havilland.
During the war, he was nicknamed 'Cat's Eyes' by the British press.
