John Denver sings a special version of “High Flight”. The famous aviation poem was written by 19yearold RCAF Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee who died in a midair collision over Lincolnshire three months after writing the poem. The poem is Inscribed on his gravestone. Singer John Denver, who was an avid pilot and died in a singlefatality crash of his personal experimental aircraft, sang the poem on a TV program saluting NASA.
