I have hypermobile joints! In this video I show the 5 Beighton test maneuvers and how to calculate your Beighton score*! If you are suspected to be hypermobile or to have EhlersDanlos syndrome (EDS), you'll probably be asked to perform the Beighton test as part of getting your diagnosis. Getting diagnosed with EDS is not as simple as just a positive Beighton score, but according to Cleveland Clinic, a positive Beighton score means you likely have joint hypermobility syndrome, which may indicate other health problems that need further testing.
