Welcome back to Pursuit Of Meaning, today on this channel we are going to talk about “ 10 Books Jordan Peterson Thinks Everyone Should Read + 3 Best Jordan Peterson Books (2022)” Though he is now a professor emeritus at the University of Toronto, from 1993 to 1998 he served as assistant and then associate professor of psychology at Harvard. He spent fifteen years writing Maps of Meaning: The Architecture of Belief (published in 1999), the book is a scholarly investigation into the nature of narrative and religious thought, the structure of perception, the regulation of emotion, and the motivation for atrocity in the service of ideology.

His year abroad exploring the Old World proved to be lifechanging. There he came into contact with the works of Jung and Nietzsche, sparking his lifelong interest in the field of psychology. When he returned home, he got his B.A. in psychology and then a Ph.D. in the same field of study. For six years, from 1993 to 1998, he also taught and did research at Harvard University, though he finally decided to move back to his native Canada and became a fulltime professor at the University of Toronto. He has also kept up the clinical practice, giving psychological support to a small number of patients.
