"Holy Land:Where the Immaculate Feet of the Lord stood".

In this episode we present the two Holy Monasteries devoted to
Saint John the Baptist and Forerunner, near the banks of the Jordan river,
where Jesus, our Lord, was Baptized by the Saint.
One of the monasteries is located at the Israeli side and the other one at the Jordanian.
We refer to the Baptism of our Lord in the Jordan river together with the miracles
which took place there by the days of the old Testament.
We also refer to the life of the St. John the Baptist in Jordan’s desert.

is 135 km, and the estimated driving time is approx.110 minutes.

Keep your travel documents(passport,tourist visa, e.t.c)safe and accessible
for inspection by the authorities at the Israeli controlled checkpoints.
It is always a good idea to carry a bottle of water,
and a hat for the sun(specially in the summertime).
A face cream with high SPF is also recommended as well as the sport shoes.

Check the forex currency exchange rate at first.

The language spoken at the Holy Shrines which belong to the Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem is Greek.
To communicate with the locals you can use English
or Arabic.Some of them may also speak Greek.
