With three players lefts in the 2024 Derby City Classic Bank Pool Division, Joshua Filler faced off against Shane Van Boening to determine who would move on to the finals.

Van Boening is a winner of every division on offer at Derby City, except for this title. He is a five time US Open 9Ball Champion, and World 8Ball Champion.

Filler, had been crowned as the 2024 Derby City Classic Bigfoot 10Ball Champion just one day before this match.

Both of these players were fully capable of stringing together a run of shots, when given the opportunity. This match would turn out to be a perfect example of what can happen when a top player gets on a roll.
