A journey back in Roman times, when ancient Rome was still a Republic, the life and deeds of the charismatic, and brilliant general and politician Julius Caesar, as well as the conspirators, the rebellious senators, Brutus and Cassius, the leaders of the Liberators, a group of Roman senators who feared Caesar's growing power and influence, willing to do anything in their power to stop him, and preserve the Republic.
