' Matthew 10:3411:1

The Gospel of Matthew reminds us of our priorities in life: who do we seek first, Christ or the people around us? Do we put Him first, or our family and other personal matters? We are called to take up the cross, lose ourselves for the sake of following Him, and be in the service of others. Our selfish natures aren't welcome in the Kingdom of God, but rather, we will be welcomed by Jesus if we also open our arms for the One God sent to save us. We gain while we lose, and we will gain what matters most when we give up the best in our lives for the name of Jesus.
