WEATHER FORECAST GOOD FOR 24HRS
SYNOPSIS: INTERTROPICAL CONVERGENCE ZONE (ITCZ) AFFECTING SOUTHERN LUZON, VISAYAS, AND MINDANAO; WARM EASTERLIES OVER THE REST OF THE COUNTRY
DISCUSSION (BASED ON LATEST WIND, VIS/IR AND WATER VAPOR IMAGERY):
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues as the dominant weather system associated with the warm easterlies in the country. The said North Pacific High remains anchored near Southern Japan causing continued inhibition of Southwest windflow over the country. Based on the water vapor imagery, moist atmospheric condition continues almost all over the country as the upper level low (TUTT) in Luzon filled while another upper level low (TUTT) is currently approaching the BatanesTaiwan area, enhancing moist atmospheric condition that brings more convective formation in Luzon. Due to the aforementioned weather systems affecting the country, the entire country will experience cloudy weather with scattered rainshower and/or thunderstorms. No low pressure area was observed within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
