WEATHER FORECAST GOOD FOR 24HRS

SYNOPSIS: EASTERLIES AFFECTING THE EASTERN SECTIONS OF LUZON AND VISAYAS; DEVELOPING LOW PRESSURE AREA (140km east of Borongan, Eastern Samar)

DISCUSSION (BASED ON LATEST WIND, VIS/IR AND WATER VAPOR IMAGERY):
A developing low pressure area was spotted approximately 140km east of Borongan, Eastern Samar which affects the areas of Bicol region, Visayas and Mindanao while easterlies continues to affect the rest of the country. The said Easterlies are expected to gradually weaken due to the expected weakening of the North Pacific High which is currently anchored in Southern Japan. Because of the aforementioned weather system, almost the entire country will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshower and/or thunderstorms that will become frequent in the eastern part Visayas and Eastern Mindanao.
