SYNOPSIS: WARM EASTERLIES AFFECTING THE COUNTRY

DISCUSSION (BASED ON LATEST WIND AND IR IMAGERY):
A low pressure area observed yesterday has completely dissipated while crossing the Sulu sea. Easterlies are the dominant weather system affecting the country due to the continuous effect of the North Pacific High which remains anchored in the northern part of the Marianas island. It is expected that the said High pressure area will weaken slightly due to the effect of a low pressure trough over eastern China transversing towards Japan. Due to the aforementioned weather systems, the eastern part of the country will experience scattered thunderstorms while isolated thunderstorms is expected over the rest of the country due to the thinning of the tropical moisture based in the last water vapor imagery.
