Europe has not known such a war since WWII, with bombed cities, executed civilians, ethnic cleansing, deportations, refugees...

A few years ago, this was not about Ukraine. It was about the bloody conflict in the Balkans, in which NATO eventually intervened to put an end to the war there.

But a few decades later, a fullscale war again broke out in Europe.

This is what Channel 5 TV journalist Nonna Stefanova is conversing about with war correspondent, writer, and political analyst David Rieff.

Since the beginning of Russia's fullscale invasion, David Rieff has traveled to Ukraine many times, visiting Kyiv, Kherson and Kharkiv, and participating in public events.
