K130 - K123 Tail Blade Testing

A lot of people recommended this to me as a better option than stock. That's true and the high pitch strained noise is much reduced along with marginally better holding at higher headpseed in reverse hurricanes than other options, specifically above 60% headspeed. Not in anything else in my experience though at any headspeed and here's why I don't like it on my K130...

It's much worse at just holding in a hover with wind and if not kept moving, will move on it's own. Just a few small pitch pumps produce large movements left and right and it can feel very smooshy but not predictably like I find with the stock tail. Almost like it's too large for the available torque or the FBL needs tail precomp adjusting for it which we simply can't do. As for other things like tic tocs, it's perhaps better than stock but so much worse than the ladybird and the parrot props it's not even funny. This might be me being able to deal with tails blowing one way only and only while stressed rather than moving both ways often in even mild 3D but sloppy, mushy and unpredictable are how it feels which is a shame because it's looks great and I have major doubts a larger option will help at all meaning the parrot prop is probably as good as it's going to get. If you fly only nose first and mostly sport/circuits it may perform well but then again, stock has no issues there and doesn't make the tail motor as furiously hot either.

What has made me curious is some sellers are listing the tail motor replacements as 1s/3.7v but it's receiving 2s and gets hot, much hotter with larger tail blades. 2s versions do certainly exist but so far i've only seen them in 4 packs on aliexpress with 2 of each rotation for quads. There's rumours and whispers of the new, impending MG version of the K130 getting a true 2s tail motor but nothing solid that I am aware of yet. I have read reports of these performing much better with less heat which makes absolute sense but i'll be putting my effort into MG servos first as the stock ones stripping easily is a much higher frustration than not being able to do fast reverse flight hurricanes with this particular heli.
The parrot prop is going back on here and staying on here for the foreseeable future, my personal favourite by a clear margin.

There's several MG servo options but only these are cheaper than stock and what I purchased to try. Only negative is they don't come with correct connectors so soldering is required and it's twice the price for an option that is drop in.
