In 2021 while in the middle of yet another Covid lock down we decided to put our sailing plans on hold to do a project a little closer to home. Kyla always had a dream of having a little cabin on a decent sized piece of land on a lake. She found the land and after a year of hiccups and delays we finalized the purchase. At the end of the summer in 2022 we picked a building site and started to clear the building site. The weather was so warm that fall we were able to dig and build an outhouse in preparation for the following season. When the snow melted in 2023 we got going with the first building, a 16 x 20 foot board and batten shed that can double as a bunky while we build a larger cabin. Anyway this is the recap of our first summer at the lake.
