The WDR Big Band features the American singer Kandace Springs with the song "Black Orchid", composed by C: Jesse Harris. Vince Mendoza arranged the tune and leads the WDR Big Band at the 39th "International Leverkusener Jazztage". Rhanij Krija introduces the song "Afro Blue" (C: Mongo Santamaria A: Vince Mendoza) on the percussions. Solos are played by Ruud Breuls on trumpet and Ludwig Nuss on trombone.
