He has a book written 'The Story of the Integration of the Indian States'. It has written in detail that what is the story behind the native princely states that were merged in India at the time of Partition. There is a contradiction in Patel's words as somewhere he says that he has no differences with Nehru while somewhere he disagrees. Once again, the same Patel says that the Kashmir problem would be solved, but could not solve it because of Nehru. Sometimes they disagree on the decision to go to the UN, sometimes they defend it. Sometimes he says that the ceasefire was not right. Had the army not been sent from Banihal to Poonch, then things would have been settled.
