Dhokla in Instant Pot Recipe | Soft & Spongy Dhokla | Easy and Quick Recipe | Snacks Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup strained chickpea flour (besan)
Suji/rava 1 tbsp
34 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon sliced green chilies
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Oil 1 tbsp
Salt to taste

For Tempering:
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
23 green slit green chilies
A handful of curry leaves
Pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)
2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup water

Directions:
1. In a bowl, add chickpea flour, green chilies, ginger, turmeric powder, salt, sugar, lime juice & mix.
3. Add water & whisk well to make a smooth lumpfree batter. Pour batter in a greased pan.
4. Add 1 cup water to the inner pot. Place trivet & Pan with batter on it. Close the lid & seal the vent.
5. Press steam button and steam it for 15 minutes.
6. Quick steam release. Open the lid waits for a few minutes. When cooler, take the trivet with pan out.
7. Flip pan over a plate. Cut Dhokla into pieces.
8. Prepare:
9. Tempering: In a pot, heat oil, add mustard & sesame seeds, When splutters add chilies, curry leaves, Asafoetida, 1/2 cup water & simmer for 34 minutes. Add sugar & switch off.
10. Pour tempering water & spread tempering on Dhokla evenly. Top with cilantro. Enjoy!
