Auxiliary mode in Korean EVs

Every EV should immediately close HV contactors when you unlock the doors and run everything from the highvoltage battery until you lock the car again (example: Tesla, Nio, MG4, Volvo EV). But in Korean EVs everything runs from 12V battery unless you press brake pedal + START button (READY mode). In Korean EVs you can drain the 12V battery for several minutes, if you don't pay attention.

Auxiliary mode and Ignition 1 mode in Korean EVs (concept of using START button in EV) is a big fail. You should press brake pedal + START when you enter the car, otherwise it stays in Auxiliary mode and quickly drains the 12V battery. This also happens when charging is finished car goes into Auxiliary mode, as seen in this video.

Pressing the START button twice without brake pedal brings Ignition ON, which drains the 12v battery even more, as more consumers can be activated:    • KIA EV6 draining the 12V battery  Au...

Aux battery over 82% SOC in Korean EVs
when 12v battery is over 82% SOC, the DC/DC converter often turns into "smart alternator mode" (yoyo) charging the 12V battery during deceleration, and discharging under acceleration. Such strategy is used to help the DC/DC converter (and probably save some energy). As the 12v battery is chargeddischarged very often, it will more rapidly degrade.

Aux battery over 92% to 100% SOC
Korean EV use other strategy when the 12V battery is fully charged at 100% SOC (after long ACcharging) continuous discharge from 100% to 92% SOC. Your aux battery during the next drive will be discharged probably down to 92% SOC. Seems strange, but 12V battery is discharged with relatively high 20105A current for several minutes while driving! The discharge curve is a parabola with slowly decreasing discharge current, so this discharge pattern is designed this way.

Example for continuous discharge from 100% SOC:

12V yoyo strategy might be related to widespread ICCU failures and recent ICCU recall in EGMP platform, but I observed this yoyo already in the first generation ENiro, Kona EV and Soul EV. UPDATE: global ICCU recall and 12v voltage:    • Kia EV6⚡12V fluctuations & ICCU, EOP,...

Background:
Many modern ICE cars use 'smart alternator' since 201013 (Ford, BMW, Volvo, Hyundai, etc) to save some fuel and lower CO2 emissions. But the 12V battery is left permanently undercharged (at 8085% SOC) and is very frequently cycled, which brings about faster battery degradation. Smart alternators use small BMS box on 12V battery terminals for "coulomb counting" (incoming/outcoming amps) to assess the 12V battery SOC.

How about other EV brands? Only few EVs show 12v battery current and SOC in Car Scanner or other app (measuring battery current is necessary to show 12V yoyo), but I observed that many EVs will drop OBD2 voltage after a while from 1414.5V to floating 1313.6V and maintain it till the end of the trip. So most EVs indeed measure the SOC of the 12V battery and apply smart charging strategy to 12v battery. Question: is the 12V battery discharged as frequently in other EVs as in Korean EVs?
