When you knit back and forth across both rakes of a long loom, it's called double panel knit. Types of double panel knit include the figure 8 stitch, rib stitch, box stitch, fashion stitch, honeycomb stitch, and many more. In this video, I show you how to cast off (remove the knit) from a long loom after making double panel knit.
It's easy to remove knit from a long loom. Simply insert the crochet hook in the loop farthest from the working yarn. Following the path of the yarn back across the loom, pick up the next loop and pull it through the loop that is on the hook. It's just like crochet.
