I made a big batch or 15 of Kow Thom Sien

5 Pounds Soaked sticky over night or 5 hours and more (Drained Sticky Rice well before wrapping)

3 bags of Mung Bean Soaked 5 hours or overnight, drained well before wrapping
Seasoned with 11/2 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons Salt
4 Tablespoons Black Peppers

3.5 pounds pork belly slice into 1/2 Thick
Marinade this overnight with:
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon sugar
2 Tablespoons Black Peppers

*Massage really well and leave at least five hours or overnight in the fridge

4 packs of banana leaves, washed, dry and tried to save all the small pieces.
*You will need most large pieces too so do not cut them smaller than 1 foot

1 jar of ready to used fried shallots
1 Roll of Turkey Thread it straw rope

Fill the pot 3/4 with water with medium height heat
Bring water to boil
Add Kow Thom to pot make sure they submerged in boiling water

Boil for 6 hours or boil 3 hours than take them out on the try and boil again a few hours later.
Or let them rest overnight and boil again the next morning.

They can be sit out in room temperature for a day after that place them in the fridge. And boil another two hours before serve because the rice got harden in the fridge.

Or store them in Freezer bag and freeze them up. Before severe leave them out in the fridge to Thaw and boil another 2 hours before serve.

I made a lot and I boiled 4 batches and took me two days

If you make just 56 will take just 1 day for all process
