Stanley Kubrick was one of the greatest directors of all time. Obsessive like few others, involved in each of the stages of the process when creating a film, controversial because of the themes he has touched on and how he has approached them, inventor of many things such as 'the Kubrick gaze', visionary and without hesitation to tell your team to their faces what you were looking for; Stanley marked the industry, made it evolve and advance for many years.

In this video we are going to analyze his most experimental works, which in turn were also the most important of one of the most influential directors in the history of cinema.

Starting with 2001: A Space Odyssey, one of the best science fiction films of all time.

In 1971 the director released another of his great works. Since 2001 A Space Odyssey he reached an impressive level, where every film he released seemed to be unsurpassed. Here we are talking about A Clockwork Orange, my favorite of the director along with the one mentioned above.

In 1975, after having discarded the idea of making a film about Napoleon Bonaparte, Kubrick released one of his most complex works, according to Scorsese the best of its genre. We're talking about Barry Lyndon.

In 1980 The Shining was released: a film that many classify as his best, also one of the ones with the most symbolism and conspiracy theories.

Seven years later, in 1987, he released Full Metal Jacket. A film that crudely shows us the depths of the Vietnam War, from the training camp to the battle itself. There are many interesting things in it that make it stand out from most of the genre.

The last film in his filmography, which by the way was released in 1999, 12 years after the previous one and with the director already deceased, was Eyes Wide Shut. This is one of his most controversial works.

"The essence of performing arts is to allow an idea to reach people without the idea being clearly explained. If something is said directly, it is no longer as powerful as when you let people discover it on their own"
