I have no idea why NBC would develop and name a TV show after La Brea Ave… unless maybe the name refers to the La Brea tarpits (which technically are located on Wilshire Blvd) … I’ve never seen the show, so I have no idea but as for La Brea Ave, sure it’s a major and recognizable street in Los Angeles but outside of retail shopping and dining there’s not a whole lot to see, but if the people at NBC see something in it maybe there’s something I’m missing?

This trip starts shortly after departing Rock & Roll Ralphs headed north on Fuller Ave, where we take a right at the base of Runyon Canyon which brings us to the very top of La Brea where we turn and head south on La Brea all the way until we turn off on Pico.

Highlights include Crazy Girls, the (Jim) Henson Recording Studios, Pink’s Hot Dogs and the art deco Samsung Building.
