La Fortuna offers so much variety when it comes to things to do and see in Costa Rica! We spent four days in La Fortuna and enjoyed every minute of it, especially because everything was so affordable! The local food was so flavorful and being immersed in such lush nature was absolutely breathtaking. If you're lucky, you might catch a view of the Arenal Volcano when it's not hiding behind the clouds. We were able to see the sunset over the volcano and it was a sight like no other! La Fortuna is amazing overall. Don't get us started on the waterfalls and the sky blue waters watch for yourself! The Hertz/Firefly Car Rental in San Jose Costa Rica provided the WORST customer service we have ever experienced from a car rental place (They gave away the automatic car we reserved, only gave us an option to drive a manual car which we were unable to do, and even if we were able to drive manual they increased the daily rental price 10fold).
