Kirby Verret, ancien chef de la Nation Unie Houma, à Dulac.

An educational program about the past and present of our singular State. Together, we will visit and chat with Louisianans across the State to understand a bit more about the diverse events and peoples that created the culture, economy, and people of the Louisiana we know today.

In the third episode at Laura Plantation and the Clarendon Methodist Church in Dulac, our hosts Amelia and Joseph discuss the history, language and social and familial life of the United Houma Nation, one of the Frenchspeaking staterecognized Indian tribes in Louisiana, by responding to an interview Joseph did with Mr. Kirby Verret, a former chief of the United Houma Nation.
