I took a fiveday trip at the end of May 2024 with my French husband Matthieu.
Our tenth destination was La Roque Gageac, which has been voted one of the most beautiful villages in France.

La RoqueGageac is in the NouvelleAquitaine region, in the Dordogne département, and has a population of around 430.

From CastelnaudlaChapelle, the village we visited earlier, La RoqueGageac was very close, just 10 minutes away by car.

The village has a unique landscape, like houses built into the cliffs along the Dordogne river.

It was already 16:30 when we arrived, so we went to the church before it closed.
This village is also hilly, so we did a lot of climbing, but the view from the top of the village was lovely and I took a lot of photos.

We spent a short time in this beautiful village, playing with the cute cats, looking at the beautiful flowers and enjoying the gorgeous scenery.
