I was laid off on Christmas Eve.
This way I do not get paid for the holiday. I had some use it or lose it PTO I was going to use the next few days. I'm told I won't be paid out for these either.
This also means I do not get an annual bonus after busting my ass all year.
I did not get one the previous year either as I was a "temp". So that is two years.
My replacement will be making about 3x more than I.

I do not get severance pay. The bonus would have been nice.
The state unemployment is junk, It doesn't even pay enough to cover groceries.

The job....I grew to despise it. It was great at first. The only issue was getting a quick yes or no through your stereotypical executive which could hold things up. I cleaned the department up, everything was coming and going in a day but for the one bottleneck.
But then....I got a new coworker who was a micromanager. Could I have told him to buzz off? I don't know. Everyone is a director, or not just a vice president like you see in old television shows where you had a large office and assistant, but you're a SENIOR Vice President in an open floor plan with no assistants! Or you are an owner. I think we had 5 of those.

So, what now?
Well this channel was experimental. I defaulted into travel and hotel vlogs mixed with history. I didn't get a chance to get fully into it though. I have a lot of footage to still go thorugh. I've been refining my approach each time. But I didn't have much time to do so. I'm not into my earlier stuff. It comes down to time and oppotuntiy. A daily blog? I don't know. They tell me that youtube is about niche, but I find rnadom things get better views personally. My favorite videos get the least views. I see others complain about the same thing.

SO I've split things up into about 4 channels. It'd be nice to work on these, that was always my goal.
