With a Par 63, the Whitetail course features a mix of Par 3s, 4s, and even a few Par 5s. This variety allows players to test their skills with different shot types and distances. Designed with both beginners and experienced players in mind, each hole offers unique challenges, such as water hazards, elevation changes, and trees.

The course's natural setting is one of its most appealing features. Surrounded by the lush forests and serene waters of Lake Claiborne, the Whitetail course offers players stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. The course also incorporates various terrain features, such as narrow fairways and strategic obstacles, to keep players on their toes and add an extra level of challenge.

One of the best things about the Whitetail course is its attention to detail. Each hole is carefully designed and marked, making it easy for players to navigate the course. The course is also wellmaintained, with regularly trimmed fairways and clean tee boxes and baskets.

The Whitetail disc golf course is a great place for players of all skill levels to come and enjoy the sport. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this course offers a unique and challenging experience. With its natural beauty, attention to detail, and diverse set of challenges, the Whitetail course at Lake Claiborne State Park is a mustvisit for any disc golf enthusiast.

Nestled in the upper section of Lake Claiborne State Park in northern Louisiana is the Dogwood disc golf course. This challenging course, designed by Mike Brown, offers a unique and exciting experience for players of all skill levels.

With a Par 58, the Dogwood course is shorter than its sister course, Whitetail, but offers tighter fairways and steeper elevation changes. Each hole is carefully designed to test players' accuracy and control, with strategically placed obstacles and trees throughout the course.

The Dogwood course is ideal for players who enjoy a more technical round of disc golf. The shorter length allows for a quicker game, while the challenging layout ensures that players must make precise shots in order to score well.

One of the unique features of the Dogwood course is its multiple tee boxes. The course features blue tees for more experienced players and red tees for beginners, making it accessible to players of all skill levels.
The blue tees offer a more challenging experience, with longer distances and more obstacles. The red tees, on the other hand, provide a more forgiving layout, allowing beginners to work on their technique and build their confidence.
The woods of Lake Claiborne are also home to a wide variety of wildlife.
Take your pick: swimming, fishing, birding, boating of all kinds, waterskiing, camping, hiking or just plain relaxing and enjoying the unsurpassed natural beauty. For fishermen, the freshwater lake was lavishly stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill sunfish, channel catfish, black crappie, striped bass, chain pickerel, bream, and white perch. The lake itself, at full reservoir level, has a surface area of 6,400 acres.
Twobedroom cabins are nestled among the pine trees, and many offer a view of the lake. The RV campground rests among the slopes of the north Louisiana foothills, offering shaded spots to get closer to nature. Whatever your preference for an overnight stay, you'll be sure to rest peacefully.
The beach is situated on an inlet of the lake and is protected from boats and water skiers. So work up an appetite for that fresh fish supper by taking a brisk swim in Lake Claiborne.
