Marines launch and recover a RQ21A Blackjack from the flight deck of the amphibious transport dock USS San Diego. The RQ21A Blackjack is an intelligence surveillance reconnaissance unmanned aircraft capable of being launched and recovers from flight decks on naval vessels. The drone system provides persistent maritime and landbased tactical reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition (RSTA) data collection and dissemination capabilities to the warfighter.

The SkyHook system is the first aircraft capture system to eliminate runways and nets.
