Iowa Security Deposit Regulations
Landlords may charge up to two months’ rent for the security deposit. The deposit, along with a written list of any deductions, must be returned within 30 days of the end of the tenancy.

Iowa Landlord Entry Laws
Landlords must give at least 24 hours notice before entering the property for maintenance and other nonemergencies.

Iowa Late Fee Requirements
For monthly rent payments of $700 or less, the maximum late fee is $12 per day and not more than $60 per month. For monthly rent payments of more than $700, the maximum late fee is $20 per day and no more than $100 per month.
