Rainbow gardens recreational area is an unusual geology area just east of Las Vegas on the back side of Frenchman mountain. The layers are tilted up so its a good case to be able to see a cross section of layers covering a span of about half a billion years.

This video is walking along the north side edge of the area inspecting the various layers of horse spring formation and jurrasic triassic layers as I approach the kaibab permian limestone. As I walk towards the tilted limestone of the backside of frenchman the carnian pluvial rain event was starting that gave rise to the dinosaurs. However they were not running around at this area so much because it was a vast floodplain.
