I met Marcin, a fisherman from neighboring Poland, while fishing for salmon in the autumn near the Neris River. Marcin's experience is indeed very interesting he worked as an ichthyologist for many years studying Baltic Sea salmon. Later, he changed his professional direction a little and started organizing fishing trips for clients in the Baltic Sea, Gdansk Bay. According to Marcin, Baltic Sea salmon spend a large part of their life time feeding just off the coast of Poland, because shoals of sprat and herring come here, and the salmon follow them. It is precisely in March that there is the highest chance of catching one of the largest and most valuable Baltic salmon here. So, I decided to take advantage of Marcin's invitation to come and try this interesting and new way of fishing for me. Indeed, the trip is very worthwhile many impressions, many new things and first times, and the most important thing is the reliable and experienced fishing guide Marcin :) On the other hand, I have to be honest with myself salmon fishing in the river is a much more romantic and sweet way of fishing for me. I would be more than happy to have the opportunity to help Marcin find his dream salmon in autumn in Neris River, Lithuania :)
